In order to pay homage to our town's early German settlers, the town of Cumberland hosts the 12th annual Weihnachtsmarkt, a German winter market. On December 2 from 12-7 p.m., Cumberland will close US 40 to celebrate the holidays with artisan vendors, traditional food & beer, kids activities, holiday entertainment, and so much more.

Carriage Rides: From 12-4 p.m., free horse-drawn carriage rides will be available from nearby parking lots; click here to learn more.
Visit from Santa: Santa will arrive at the Gap Meeting House and visit with children from 12-5 p.m., and a couple of his reindeer will even make an appearance(3-5 p.m.).
Tree Lighting: Join us at the stage at 6 pm, where Santa will help us with our annual holiday tree lighting, complete with fireworks and a festive musical performance by Sadie Johnson.
