Cumberland kicks off the holiday season December 7, 2019 with its 9th Annual Weihnachtsmarkt. This year’s event will feature annual traditions like Reindeer Games for the kids, vendor tent, kid’s crafts, carriage rides, visits with Santa, great food and drink, a tree lighting ceremony, and of course the Flying Toasters. Because that’s not enough fun, this year will bring new additions of selfie stations and a light parade.
Cumberland closes US 40 from Muessing to Carroll Road to bring the holiday fun into the streets of Old Town Cumberland. Santa will arrive at the Gap Meeting House and visit with children throughout the day and a couple of his reindeer will even make an appearance. Children can participate in the Weihnachtsmarkt Scavenger Hunt to get their passport stamped, go through reindeer training to get their antlers, make crafts, get their face painted, and more.
