Board of Zoning Appeals
The BZA is a quasi-judicial board that reviews requests for variances from the zoning ordinance. These variances may be from developmental standards (like the distance to a property line) or use. They also review special exceptions, which are uses that require an additional level of review to make sure the use is appropriate as well as administrative appeals. Under Indiana Code, members of the BZA may not be contacted about a case.
